If Imran Khan looks perfectly at ease holding and strumming a guitar in the music video DK Bose in Delhi Belly,it is because he plays the bass guitar in real life. Add to it his grungy and edgy look with a black eye, undone hair, greasy T-shirt and torn jeans and you have a perfect rockstar persona. I wanted the video to look a certain way, with all the three actors Imran,Kunal Roy Kapur and Vir Das looking like rockstars and they followed my instructions to the T, Sajid, the director of the video reveals.
As for getting the dance movements in the song right,Sajid says that its a band performance,so there are movements to every beat, but no dance steps as such. Though Imran Khan will be seen grooving to every beat and the unusual lyrics of the song like a true rockstar,it8217;s something he is doing for the first time. It8217;s Imran at his boldest and he has done complete justice to it, he says, adding that the song is mainly for promotional purposes.
It was shot at Mukesh Mills in Mumbai in one day, from nine in the morning to nine in the night. All three actors are very good friends in real and reel so there was a lot of camaraderie on the sets, said Sajid, adding that the lyrics twist a name into an expletive and the song become an instant hit with the youth.
The song is meant for someone who is stuck in a weird situation and has got no option but to run away from it, said Aamir Khan, when asked what the number means to him.
