Admiral D K Joshi is new Navy Chief

Anti-submarine warfare specialist Admiral Devendra Kumar Joshi,who was previously heading the Western Navy Command,has taken over as the new Navy Chief after the retirement of Admiral Nirmal Verma

Anti-submarine warfare specialist Admiral Devendra Kumar Joshi,who was previously heading the Western Navy Command,has taken over as the new Navy Chief after the retirement of Admiral Nirmal Verma. Joshi will have a full three-year tenure at the helm.

The 58-year-old officer is a graduate of the Naval War College,USA,and an alumnus of the College of Naval Warfare,Mumbai.
