The condition of 82-year-old Suchitra Sen,who was admitted to a super specialty hospital here after complaining of respiratory tract infection,is stable now, doctors attending on the veteran actress said. Her breathlessness and palpitation have settled. Her vital parameters are satisfactory, she had her breakfast and remains comfortable, a medical bulletin issued by Belle Vue Clinic, where she was admitted on December 23,said. However, her doctors said that though her condition was stable now,she was under constant medical supervision. The doctors said her lung infection was under control and antibiotics were being administered on her to ease out the fluid accumulation. Doctors had earlier shifted her to the Coronary Care Unit, saying her condition had deteriorated. An eye operation was also scheduled during the day,but was postponed as she was shifted to the ITU (Intensive Treatment Unit) from the CCU of the hospital. The hospital has formed a five-member-committee,led by cardiologist Dr Subrata Moitra,to monitor the health of Sen 24x7. As the legendary actress has chosen not to be seen by anyone besides her family and a select few others, the only visitors at the hospital were her daughter Moon Moon Sen and grand-daughters Riya and Raima, all actors.
