Abducted Bihar PGCIL engineer found dead

The body of a junior engineer of PowerGrid Corporation of India Ltd PGCIL,who was kidnapped allegedly by his driver in Gopalganj district a week ago,was recovered on Sunday from Lahurabari village in Bihars Kaimur district.

Rohtas SP Manu Maharaj said police had seized an abandoned car at a place under Pochas police station three days ago. A bank slip was recovered from the vehicle by the police who later arrested a person Shree Ram Paswan.

Based on the inputs provided by Shree Ram,the police recovered the body of Bikrama Thakur in neighbouring Kaimur district,the SP said.

He said the investigation revealed that the driver of the junior engineer of PGCIL Pusauli had kidnapped him while coming to Kaimur from Bhore in Gopalganj district.

Maharaj said the driver,Jitender Paswan,had withdrawn Rs 1.20 lakh using the ATM of the junior engineer. Police have recovered Rs 51,500 from Shree Ram Paswan. Jitendra was absconding.
