7 more held in gangrape case

The Haryana Police Wednesday arrested three men for allegedly gangraping a 16-year-old Dalit in Hisars Dabra village on September 9 and four persons for harbouring them. The rape had driven her father to suicide. In fact,it was only after his death that the police acted.

The three main accused have been identified as Vikas,Rajkumar and Pawan. Two other accused,Seetu and Sunil,were arrested earlier this week.

We will ensure all accused are arrested at the earliest. It was an unfortunate incident but we assure the victims family that all accused and those helping them in evading arrest will be arrested and dealt with sternly. So far,we have arrested nine people,including five accused, said DGP R S Dalal.
