3 dead as car rams into shanty in Noida

Three persons were killed and three injured late on Monday night after a Swift car driven by a property dealer rammed into the shanty they were sleeping in. The incident occurred in Sector 39 of Noida.

According to the police,car owner Rahul Gupta who was driving rashly rammed into the shanty where six persons were sleeping. The three who died have been identified as Ram Milan,29,his wife Kumara,26,and one Ashok. The injured are Rajesh,Bhure and Bobby. Circle Officer R N Mishra said initial investigations suggested that it was a case of drunken driving. The driver has been detained. Mishra added that the police were trying to find out if Gupta was in an inebriated state.
