2G hearing deferred till new date

The resumption of hearing in the 2G spectrum allocation case after summer vacation was deferred today as Aesla Vinod Goenka,wife of Swan Telecom promoter Vinod Goenka,who was to testify as a witness failed to appear before the court. Special Judge OP Saini has postponed her deposition till a new date is fixed.

Goenkas counsel informed the court that she was unable to attend the proceedings since her 82-year-old mother has been admitted to a hospital in Mumbai. All accused in the case including former Telecom Minister A Raja and DMK MP Kanimozhi,were present before the court. Six co-accused facing trial in the case submitted their passports to the court.
