After losing its second Chief Minister in a helicopter crash in the span of less than two years, the Congress on Wednesday called for a review of the safety aspect of choppers.

This came following the confirmation of Arunachal Chief Minister Dorjee Khandus death in a helicopter crash. Khandus helicopter had gone missing five days ago.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy,a charismatic Congress leader, was killed in a similar chopper crash in September 2009.

Certainly there should be some introspection on the safety aspect in all such helicopters including those of Pawan Hans, Congress spokesperson Jayanthi Natarajan said in New Delhi on Wednesday in response to questions being raised about the safety aspect of Pawan Hans helicopters.
