PUNE, MARCH 23: Residents of Kothrud, Aundh, Bopodi and Warje can now breathe a sigh of relief. After a one-and-a-half-year delay, the main water pipeline from Parvati water works to SNDT will finally be commissioned by the Pune Municipal Corporation in the first week of April.

Gearing up to address water woes, the administration will also take round the clock cognisance of the citizens8217; complaints at its five grievance redressal centres, Pune Municipal Commissioner Girish Pradhan told mediapersons on Tuesday.

The commissioner frankly admitted that the problems pertaining to water shortage were vast and will take time to be resolved. However efforts have been launched to redress the problem by at least admitting the citizens8217; woes.

A special officer has also been appointed to take stock of the problems at the 38 fringe villages which were incorporated in the PMC, Pradhan said.

Citizens have been urged to call up to register the complaints pertaining to their specific areas. For instance the affected lot at like Sadashiv Peth, Narayan Peth, Shaniwar Peth, Kasba Peth, Shukrawar Peth, Somwar Peth, J M Road, Model Colony, Dattawadi can call up at any time of the day at the complaint redressal centre at Swargate on 548035/542519/542266.

Residents of Erandwane, Karvenagar, Navsahayadri, Paud Road, Kothrud, Happy Colony, Mhalunge, Balewadi, Pashan, Aundh and other parts can register their complaints at the Aryabhushan complaint redressal centre F C Road on 374046.

Residents of Anandnagar, Vitthalwadi, Hingane, Wadgaon, Dhayari, Kirkatwadi, Nadned and Khadakwasla can register their complaints at Tilak Road complaint redressal centre on 546454/549920 while residents of Yerawada, Sangamwadi, Alandi Road, Vishrantwadi, Dhanori, Chandannagar and others can contact 621453 at the Bund Garden complaint redressal centre.

The Pune Cantonment complaint redressal centre can be reached on 841598/841934, which will address the problems faced by residents of Wanowrie, Kondhwa, Solapur Road, Hadapsar, Mundhwa, Keshavnagar, Satavwadi and others.
