Water hike plan rejected

PUNE, Feb 22: The hike in water cess, suggested in the draft budget of the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation PCMC presented by commissioner Ganesh Thakur, was rejected by the standing committee here last week. A two-fold hike in water cess for domestic water connections, and a three-fold hike in water cess for commercial water connections had been proposed in the draft budget.
