VRV, Raina in spotlight

Suresh Raina slammed his second century of the season as Uttar Pradesh moved closer to Punjab’s first innings total of 381. But that was after VRV Singh took a five-wicket haul making an impressive comeback on the second day of the Ranji Trophy elite group league match at PCA Stadium here today.

Raina held the Uttar Pradesh innings together with a blazing innings of 123 to set them within 29 runs of gaining the all-important first innings lead. On a pitch offering movement, UP ended the day at 352 for 7.
