Vinod, Sulakshana clock fastest

PUNE, Nov 22: Fourteen year old Vinod Pandiyan from Pune District finished the fastest runnner at 25.3 seconds while Sulakshana Gawali of Solapur clocked 27.2 seconds to bag the gold medal in the under-19 boys and girls categories respectively in the Poona District Athletic meet that was organised by the Poona District Multi Games Sports Council PDMGSC.

The meet was organised at the Shiv Chhatrapathi sports complex, Balewadi.

Mangesh Mandrekar of Pune completed the distance of 200 meters at the fastest 8212; 24.6 seconds 8212; while Savio D8217;Souza, also from Pune, came second with 24.8 seconds in the boys under-17 run. Amit Roy of Raigad settled for the third place with 25.3 seconds.
