PUNE, Nov 22: Fourteen year old Vinod Pandiyan from Pune District finished the fastest runnner at 25.3 seconds while Sulakshana Gawali of Solapur clocked 27.2 seconds to bag the gold medal in the under-19 boys and girls categories respectively in the Poona District Athletic meet that was organised by the Poona District Multi Games Sports Council (PDMGSC).

The meet was organised at the Shiv Chhatrapathi sports complex, Balewadi.

Mangesh Mandrekar of Pune completed the distance of 200 meters at the fastest — 24.6 seconds — while Savio D’Souza, also from Pune, came second with 24.8 seconds in the boys under-17 run. Amit Roy of Raigad settled for the third place with 25.3 seconds.

Two men belonging to the Rohit Godara-Goldy Brar Gang were killed in an encounter in Ghaziabad, suspected to be involved in the firing outside Disha Patani's residence. The duo, identified as Ravindra and Arun, were wanted in multiple cases and were spotted by the police through CCTV footage. UP CM Yogi Adityanath had directed for a speedy investigation and strict action against the perpetrators.
