CHANDIGARH, Oct 22: Women joined in the on-going chain hunger strike by Action Committee for Development of UT Villages which completed two weeks today. quot;Ladies jathaquot; of 23 from Hallomajra village observed strike today near Sector 17 Bridge Market. Women from Shastri Nagar will observe fast tomorrow.
Among other things, the committee is demanding regularisation of houses beyond the lal dora and provision of various civic amenities their inhabitants.
