CHENNAI, Apr. 19: Ganeshraj (19), a vendor in the Flower Bazaar area tried to immolate himself in protest of the Chennai Corporation’s move to demolish the fruit and flower market in the area. He was arrested by Law College police. A total of 254 shops were demolished and demolition work in the 75-year-old building will also begin shortly.
