
Results out
The results of the First Year B Com, M A Part-I, MSW/IRPM, B Sc Home, M Sc Home P G Diploma in Extension and Education and all courses of Fine Arts of the M S University MSU were declared on Wednesday. The examinations for all these courses were held in April.
Transferred
The State Government is reported to have transferred Pratapbhai Pandya, Education Officer of the Vadodara District Panchayat. Pandya is said to be transferred as he was to effect internal transfers of 1,000 primary school teachers, serving in panchayat-run schools.
MP8217;s visit
Vadodara Lok Sabha MP Jayaben Thakkar will visit Waghodia Assembly constituency on Thursday along with local party MLA Madhu Shrivastava. Apart from listening to public grievances, the elected representatives will collect funds for the cyclone-hit people of coastal areas of Saurashtra and Kutch.
Cong protest
A section of Congress workers reportedly attempted to disrupt traffic by pelting stones on State roadways buses in Navapura and Raopura areas to register their protest against the abnormal hike in the groundnut oil price in the State. Police said no one was injured. While one incident was reported around 1 pm near Alpana Talkies in Navapura area, another incident was reported an hour later in front of Panchayat office, Palace Road.
Meanwhile, Narendra Rawat, president of the city unit of Youth Congress told 6 that the party workers would take out a 8220;funeral procession of BJP-government8221; in Mandvi areas on Thursday.
Reinstated
The Labour court has reinstated an employee of a private company in Bhaili after 14 years. Judge M C Vora reinstated Jagdish Bhatt, member of the Baroda Labour Union and awarded him continuity of service. The court ordered the Banco Products Private Limited to pay the worker 35 percent of his due back wages.
Anapana course
The Vadodara Vipassana Samiti will organise a free one-day Anapana Course for children between eight and 16 years on June 28 at the Raopura Municipal School No 1, opposite Duliram Pedawala, from 7 am to 5 pm. Children are requested to carry pure vegetarian snacks, a water bag, a notebook and a pencil.
