Uttarakhand mishap kills 13

Thirteen persons were killed and 32 injured in a bus accident near Nakuri in Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand. The bus was on its way from Gangotri to Rishikesh when it fell into the Bhagirathi river. The injured have been admitted to a hospital in Uttarkashi. Chief Minister B C Khanduri has announced a grant of Rs 50,000 each for the next of kin of the deceased, Rs 25,000 each to those seriously injured and Rs 5,000 each to those who have sustained mild injuries. This is the third major bus accident in the state over the past 20 days.
