December 9: Fine left-arm medium pace bowling by left-hander Rupam Malviya and Manish Sakhalkar helped Union Bank to bowl out debutants Oriental Insurance for 70 runs in a group B match of the Times Sheild, today. Later, Union Bank made 47 for two at draw of stumps.

Malviya captured four wickets for 25, while Sakhalkar took three for 24 runs. The other bowler to shine was Ashish Mahadeshwar (4-16). His fine effort helped Mumbai Port Trust to restrict State Bank to 38 for 5 at Azad maidan. Most venues were rendered unplayable in the morning due to the unseasonal rains which slashed through the city yesterday.

At Matunga, Varun Shipping were tottering at 41 for three, all the three wickets were taken by seamer Sridhar Korgaonkar (3 for 18). A Vincent is batting on 29.
