NEW DELHI, SEPT 12: With Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee contemplating taking back Sushma Swaraj and Uma Bharti into the Union Cabinet, a bunch of the latter’s vociferious supporters today started an indefinite dharna demanding her reinstatement.

Bharti had resigned from the Union Cabinet six months ago to launch an indefinite hunger strike at Bhopal demanding the reinstatement of 15,000 daily-wage workers retrenched by the Digvijay Singh Government in Madhya Pradesh.

She resigned from the Lok Sabha as well last month to “devote more time to social problems” though her resignation is yet to be accepted. Presentlyshe has been “meditating” in Kedarnath caves.

She has issued a written appeal from her Kedarnath cave, asking her supporters not to disturb her concentration. “I will return soon with more vigour but not before deciding the course I have to take,” she said.
