Then came the real action: three set-piece deliveries to Ooijer, van Nistelrooy and de Boer all found the back of the net.

Surprise inclusion in the team, pocket-sized Lahm is part of Stuttgart8217;s great youth crop along with striker Kuranyi. Tactically 8216;8216;smart as an old fox8217;8217; says national coach Rudi Voeller. Fast, technically gifted and a great crosser of the ball, Lahm shows maturity beyond his years on the pitch while remaining a cheerful, carefree youngster off it.
