Two killed in three blasts in Assam

At least two persons were killed, including one alleged ULFA militant, in three blasts that occurred in three different places across Assam.

At least two persons were killed, including one alleged ULFA militant, in three blasts that occurred in three different places across Assam. One of the blasts took place near the Dispur police station in the state capital.

Official sources said an ULFA militant was killed when a crude bomb that he was carrying went off at Hapjan in Tinsukia district.

Another person was killed in an explosion that occurred at around 6 pm today at Rangiya in Kamrup district, about 50 kms from here.

A powerful explosion occurred close to the State Assembly and Dispur police station at around 6:15 pm. Though the blast occurred at a busy locality, nobody was injured.
