Two booked for theft, assault

CHANDIGARH, MARCH 8: Two city residents have been arrested by the police on charges of theft and assault respectively.

Sources said that Sector 28 resident, Bhim Sain was arrested on charges of stealing copper pipes and electronic goods. Some of the stolen goods has also been recovered from his possession. Ram Darbar resident Manohar Salhotra had lodged a complaint last month about the missing goods.In a separate case, Khuda Lahora resident, Ram Singh has been taken into custody after a resident of the same colony, Sanjay Kumar complained that he had been assaulted and threatened with dire consequences by the accused and his accomplice, Deepak over a minor issue.

Further investigations in both cases are on.
