
NEW DELHI, Nov 22: The East District police claim to have arrested two persons who were running a gambling house in the guise of a video parlour.
Chhote Lal, of Mayur Vihar and Ramji Pandit, a resident of Shakarpur, allowed gambling in their video parlour, the police reportedly learnt.
They sent a decoy following which a police team raided the parlour and arrested the duo.
Three DVB men arrested for graft
The Anti-Corruption branch has arrested a DVB meter reader and two private mechanics for allegedly demanding and accepting Rs 4,000 as illegal gratification for adjusting the meter.
M.S. Sandhu, ACP, Anti-Corruption Branch said , a trap was laid following a complaint by Abhay Jain a resident of Chandni Chowk. A police team reached the spot on the assignated time and arrested the meter reader 8212; Ashok Sharma and two mechanics 8212; Vineet Kumar and Sunder Singh.
