Bulgogi or Bool Kogi is a Korean grilled beef dish that literally translates into 8220;fire meat8221;. It is made from thinly sliced marinated beef, and the marinade is normally soy sauce, sesame oil and sugar; although this often includes garlic, onions and mushrooms. This gives the beef its flavour and tenderness, and is grilled, preferably over an open flame.

Although the dish is traditionally made using beef, Bulgogi could be made with chicken, pork or fish. It is served in varying ways8212;most popularly wrapped in thin lettuce or other leaves. Alternatives could be serving it with rice or with accompaniments such as kimchi.

You can try Bulgogi at Tetsuma, Pan Asian, East or Busaba.
