Chocolate Fondant
Pronounced chock-let fond-au

Chocolate Fondant is a cake or pudding that is baked fresh and contains thick, molten chocolate in its centre that typically oozes out on the first bite. Fondant in general originates from France and refers to a viscous cream confection used as a filling or coating for cakes, pastries or other sweets. Chocolate Fondant, though usually served in French restaurants, seems to be universally accepted and is served at Italian and Oriental restaurants too.

It can be had plain or accompanied with a subtle ice cream such as vanilla, or just garnished with some fresh fruit. One can try Chocolate Fondant at Indigo, Mandlik Road, Colaba or its neighbour Busaba.
