CHENNAI, AUG 17: On the second day today, TNCA XI posted 432 but that may not be enough to guarantee them victory yet in their three-day MRF-Buchi Babu Tournament match against Indian Airlines at the SPIC-YMCA ground.

The new system has done away with the 90-40 overs format. Also, the fact that winners will be decided on the basis of run-rate if the first innings is not completed means that TNCA have to go for outright victory.

Beginning at their overnight 206-6, skipper D Vasu was involved in two century stands. First with S Mahesh for the seventh wicket and the second for the ninth wicket with Rajat Bhatia. Vasu8217;s 108 came off 197 balls and consisted 11 fours and four sixes with Mahesh 44, 8215;4 and Bhatia 60, 7215;4, 1215;6 for support.

But all their efforts may end on the losing side as the team8217;s overall run-rate is three per over.

IOB vs Districts: Tamil Nadu Cricket Association league champions Indian Overseas Bank were sitting pretty against the District XI in the penultimate day at Spic-AC Tech grounds here.

Play began 75 behind the scheduled time due to wet conditions in the ground.

Though the bankmen lost three early wickets for 60 runs in their second innings, they had a lead of 121 at close.
