SALEM, JANUARY 20: The opening session of the Vinayaka Mission 15th Junior Inter-State Athletic Championship saw three National records go down in the under-16 category.
L Deepmala Devi of Manipur walked her way to gold in the 3-km walk in 15:26.5s for a new National mark. Monica Joon of Delhi set the new discus record with 37.72m while in under-16 boys8217;, Ashok Tiwari of UP set a new National record in the hammer throw with 56.92m.
