CHANDIGARH, May 5: Three students of Industrial Training Institute ITI were arrested after they allegedly injured another student.

Police sources said the three students, Pawan Kumar, Ravi Prakash and Rajinder Kumar hit Satinder Kumar in his head with a bat. He has been admitted to the PGI in a serious condition. All four students are hostlers. While all the three arrested hail from Balia in Uttar Pradesh, Satinder Kumar belongs to Punjab. Police added that they had a tiff earlier in the morning over their turn for bathing, but were pacified. But in the afternoon, the three boys attacked Satinder with a bat.

The three boys have been arrested for attempt to commit culpable homicide under Section 308 of the Indian Penal Code.
