Three held in Maratkar case

PUNE, Nov 6: The crime branch sleuths today arrested three youths at Shirdi for their suspected involvement in the murder of a history-sheeter and former vice president of Khadki Cantonment Board Rajendra alias Raja Maratkar.

The number of suspects held in Maratkar murder has reached four with the arrests of Anthony Gaus Thomas 33 of Rangehills, Meherban Singh Agrik Singh Takkhi 21 of Dehu Road and Anil Mohan Pawar 26 of Pune Cantonment. Babalu Gavli from Pune Cantonment has already been arrested by Chatuhshrungi police. Police said the four youths murdered Maratkar at Khadki Bazaar on August 18 to avenge the killing of Anthony8217;s brother Tambi, of which Maratkar was accused.
