SAS NAGAR, July 21: Three former office bearers of the Punjab School Education Board Employees Association have been chargesheeted for taking up the alleged issue of corruption at the board with the Punjab Government.

According to reliable sources, former president and general secretary, Karnail Singh Kler and Harbans Singh Dholewal, have been chargesheeted for asking the Punjab Government to look into the affairs of the board. The chargesheet issued by the board chairman, Gurdev Singh Sidhu, mentions about their defaming the board and violating the conduct rules.

The third to be chargesheeted is the former organising secretary, Gurmail Singh Maujewal, who had put up notices highlighting issues of corruption on the notice boards and the walls. He had charged the board officials with misuse of the transport at the disposal of the board.

The Punjab Chief Minister, it may be recalled, after taking charge of the government, had urged the employees to approach the government if they had any information regarding corruption in the government departments.
