He received money from Riyadh to make arrangements for the fidayeen, including their stay and a recce of areas to zero in on a target. He dropped the fidayeen at Akshardham on September 24, 2002. Sentence: Deatlh• Abdul Kayyum alias Muftisahab Mohammed Ansari: Resident of Ahmedabad, this Muslim cleric was accused of writing letters found in the pocket of the fidayeen. Handwriting experts at FSL proved that the letters, in Urdu, were written by him. He was the one before whom the terrorists offered namaz ahead of the attack. Ansari was accused of guiding the conspirators. Sentence: Deatlh• Shan Miyan alias Chand Khan Sajjad Khan: Resident of Bareilly, operating from Jammu and Kashmir, he brought the metallic blue car containing arms and ammunition. He was also accused of bringing the fidayeen to Ahmedabad. He handed the arms to the terrorists who brought them to Gujarat via train.Sentence: Deatlh• Mohammed Salim Mohammed Hanif Sheikh: Resident of Dariapur, Ahmedabad, he was accused of arranging meetings and collecting funds. He also distributed CDs of the Gujarat riots to collect funds and was in touch with local terror contacts. Not given death sentence because he did not know the terror target. He also did not know the fidayeen were carrying arms. Sentence: Life• Abdulmiyan Yasinmiyan Kadri: A resident of Dariapur, Ahmedabad, he was found helping Ajmeri, the main local link, in arranging funds, but was not aware of how the money would be utilised. Sentence: 10-years RI• Altaf Husain Akbar Husain Malek: A resident of Shahpur, Ahmedabad, he also helped Ajmeri in collecting funds, but like Kadrim, was not aware of the intention. He has already served three years of the term. Sentence: 5-years RI
