Anxiously waiting for their release order in Central jail here, the four Pakistani nationals told The Indian Express that none of them could sleep a wink last night.

8216;8216;My release has reinforced my faith in Allah,8217;8217; said Salim Ali, holding a copy of the Quran. A sepoy with the Northern Light Infantry, he had strayed into India and was nabbed at the Khalera checkpost. He later learnt that the police had slapped a case of attempt to murder against him. He made an appeal to India and Pakistan to release the nationals of each of the countries.

Rashid 8212; who appeared for his matric examination this year 8212; and his friend Md Ibrar said: 8216;8216;We stay in Azad Kashmir. We were going to get money from someone whose house was down the slope when some Armymen caught us and put us in the jail where we8217;ve been languishing for the past 13 months.8217;8217; He charged that the Armymen had told him that they would either kill him or free him. Md Ibrar was also very grateful for his repatriation: 8216;8216;Thankfully, I will be able to see ammi, abbu again.8217;8217;

The story of Nawab Din 80 is equally tragic. A poor shepherd, he was nabbed by the BSF near the border while herding his flock. A native of Sialkot, he touched his ears and said he would never make the same mistake again.
