Thackeray calls for action against Naik, Pawar

PUNE, May 30: Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray today said the Srikrishna Commission report, probing the Mumbai riots, aftermath of the Babri Masjid demolition, 8220;should contain strictures against Sudhakar Naik and Sharad Pawar8221;.

Talking to newspersons here, he said though he was least interested in the Commssion report, 8220;If there is an iota of truth in the report8221;, the Commssion should order action against the two as Naik was the chief minister and Pawar was the defence minister during the Mumbai riots. Replying to a question, Thackeray said the Shiv Sena would now stridently press for Ram temple construction.
