MUMBAI, May 12: Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray, who is down with high fever and diarrhoea, has been advised rest for a few more days, according to Chief Minister Narayan Rane.

8220;He is really ill. There is absolutely no politics in his illness. The reports in a section of press that he did not attend the rally since he was not consulted before declaring the date, are incorrect,8221; Rane told mediapersons after the weekly Cabinet meeting.

Although he has not been keeping well for the last two days, Thackeray was preparing to reach Shivaji Park, the venue of the public meeting addressed by Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee. However, he dropped the idea as he felt very weak, Rane said.

8220;On Tuesday morning, he was examined by his personal doctors and was about to leave his residence for Shivaji Park, but on the advice of doctors, he dropped the idea,8221; Rane remarked. After the rally on Tuesday night, both Rane and Deputy Chief Minister Gopinath Munde called on Thackeray.
