
SAS NAGAR, Oct 31: Gawritex has opened its fourth outlet in the region and first in the township here today.
After inaugurating the outlet Haryana Public Health Minister, Jaswant Singh Bawal, while addressing the newsmen, said the octroi will be abolished in Haryana from midnight to night as per a draft for an ordinance for promulgation of an amendment in the Municipal Act, 1973 and the Municipal Corporation Act, 1994 to abolish octroi from November 1 approved in a Cabinet meeting. The old-age pension has been doubled from Rs 100 to Rs 200 and the Dalit girls are of marriageable age and those who will get married will get a cheque of Rs 5,100 as shagan.
Gawritex Managing Director, Amar Gawri said they have two units in Panchkula, one in Dera Bassi and now one in the township. In the near future, they will be opening up a unit in Nalagarh, Baddi and Parwanoo. The MD said, quot;At present, we have opened a sale counter in the township shortly and we will be setting up a production facility also for this talks are on with the Punjab government.quot;
We have opened the counter here because a lot of our customers were from here.quot;
