NASHIK: A local court has sought the presence of stamp scam prime accused Abdul Karim Telgi, who is currently lodged in a Bangalore jail, in a case involving theft of genuine stamp papers. The Additional Sessions and District Court on Saturday issued a warrant against Telgi in a case of theft of stamp papers at Nashik Road railway station in 1995 and ordered his production after his judicial custody in Karnataka expires on February 11.

MUMBAI: SIT arrested Nitin Kagare, an employee of the General Stamp Office, on Saturday in connection with the scam.

MUMBAI: SIT has sent a questionnaire to former Thane SP Parambir Singh, under whose charge a Crime Branch team allowed a man arrested with a consignment of fake stamps in 2000 to walk free on bail. — ENS & Agencies
