After Bigg Boss, this is your first show on television. How does it feel being back on a television serial?
I am back doing what I do best and that is acting. In Bigg Boss I was myself, but now my character has different shades. I am happy being back on television and amongst actors who I love to interact with.

You play a don in Lo Ho Gayi Pooja Is Ghar Ki. A different role from the ones you have played earlier.
It is a completely different experience. I play a fat, Gujarati, notorious don. But my character is a comic one, and does not have grey shades to it. The serial is based in Goa and is basically a comedy of errors. I play a central character along with Sana the main protagonist. Although I play a Gujarati character in this serial, it is different from what I have played earlier. Only the accent will be the same.

Does it bother you when you are typecasted as Daksha Virani?
Not at all. I take it as a compliment. Stardom is short-lived. It feels good when people remember you for a certain role even after several years. The role of Daksha will always remain close to my heart. I miss playing the character because there was a lot left to her character when she was taken off air for whatever reasons.

You are doing comedy after a while. Was it difficult getting your comic timing right?
Not at all. Comedy comes very naturally to me. I am a jovial person by nature and I enjoy doing roles where I can be myself. I was waiting for this opportunity for really long and just grabbed it when it came along.

How was the Bigg Boss experience?
It was a complete learning experience for me. I was there for a month and when I came back from the house I was a stronger person. I am also a different person at home. I have become more patient with things and people. I understand people better. Living with strangers 24215;7 does make you realise the importance of certain things and people in life.

What are your future projects?
On television, this is the only serial I am currently working on. I am three more offers, but I am still contemplating about them. I have a couple of films 8212;Khalballi and Straight 8212; which will release soon. Also, I am busy with my play Tran Crode Chovis Kalak Ek Sawal, which recently completed 115 shows.
