After the success of the Chandigarh Carnival, here8217;s another fest that hopes to keep the festive mood alive for a few more days. Beginning today, Indian School for Arts, Activities, Adventure and Culture, Sector 40 C, is hosting a three-day cultural carnival 8211; Hungaamaa8217;08 8211; at Leisure Valley, Chandigarh. 8220;The fest is on the lines of Chandigarh Carnival. But we did not want to hire artists for the performances since the fest is a platform for young artists and performers to showcase their skills,8221; tells Rajeev P Singh, managing director.

The carnival will see activities like dance, singing, beauty pageant, body building and fashion shows, the highlight of the event, tells Singh, is that it has different events for children, youngsters and couples. 8220;The winners will be awarded cash prizes and they will also get a chance to showcase their talent in music albums, television serials and movies,8221; tells Singh. The competitions include Dance Fever western, classical and folk dance competition for children and adults, Mega Dance Group Competition, Modelling for adults and children with pageants like Mrs Gorgeous, Prince Charming, Miss Beautiful Hair, Best Physique of the year and Mr Muscular 2008.
