Swamy ends ties with ADMK

CHENNAI, JULY 15: A beleaguered Janata Party president Dr Subramanian Swamy, who has been left out of the AIADMK-led front in Tamil Nadu, today snapped his party8217;s ties with the AIADMK.

In a letter to AIADMK general secretary J Jayalalitha, a copy of which was released to the press here, Dr Swamy, serving an ultimatum to her, said his party8217;s relations with the AIADMK would stand terminated unless he received a positive response, by 1800 hrs today, on his demand for his renomination from the Madurai Lok Sabha seat. 8220;This is our irreducible minimum demand8221;, he added.

Inquiries with the party office here revealed that there was no response from the AIADMK and that the alliance was terminated.
