Man dies in hospital
Fifty-year-old Dahyabhai Vithalbhai, who was admitted to the New Civil Hospital of the city a week ago, died on Monday, the police said. Dahyabhai was found in a very serious condition in the Central Bus Stand by the Mahidharpura police, who later admitted him to the hospital. The New Civil authorities have instructed the relatives of the deceased to claim the body, which has been kept in the hospital8217;s morgue. A case under CrPC 174 has been registered at the police station.

Eight held
Cases have been registered against eight people, who after an argument, came to blows and caused severe injuries to each other on Monday morning, the Limbayat police station said on Monday. One Bhaidas Himmatrao Patil, a resident of Narottamnagar at Limbayat, complained to the police that the four accused Bajirao Patil, Dilip Patil, Vijay Patil and an unidentified man beat him and another person up when he failed to repay the money that he owed them. In a cross complaint, Bajirao Patil lodged a complaint against Bhaidas Patil and three others of first attacking him and failing to give the money they owed him. Cases under sections 323, 324, 504 and 506 of the IPC have been registered in the police station. All those involved in the brawl have been detained by the police for interrogation.

Brawl
Three people beat up a man because of old rivalry and caused him severe head injuries on Sunday night, the Rander police said. One Shafique Munaaf, Rafique Munaaf and another unidentified person beat up one Pramod Damu Patil with iron rods on Sunday night near Shital Theatre and escaped, Patil told the police, adding that a month ago, he had an argument with the accused, which was the reason for the incident. The Rander police has registered a case and are investigating.
