Survey findings
A Large number of villagers in the district suffer from various ophthalmological ailments including cataract, according to a recent survey conducted by the administration in 20 wards of the city and 40 in the rural areas. They have been given referral slips for operations in the Jamnabai Hospital here.

Turtle rescued
Members of the Gujarat Nature Conservation Society have rescued a sea-turtle from the banks of the Mahi river and kept it in a water pool at their nature park at Sindhrot here. GNCS project manager Dhaval Desai said the animal was a rare species and seemed to have come in the river because of upheaval in sea recently. The turtle was being fed and will be left in Jambusar sea area in a day or two, Desai said.

PG diploma forms
The application forms for the P G Diploma Course in HRD and CCP will be available at the office of the Dean, Faculty of Education and Psychology, M S University from June 15 to June 30 between 12 and 2 p.m. The forms are priced at Rs 80 each. The last date for accepting the forms is June 30.
