Seminar on textile in city tomorrow
The Synthetic amp; Rayon Textile Export Promotion Council is organising a seminar on quality upgradation and emerging trends in the synthetic textile on July 31. The seminar will cover all aspects of synthetic textile manufacturing yarn preparation, weaving and processing.

The Regional Transport Office, in a release issued here on Wednesday, said that with the GJ 5 AJ series ending shortly, new applications for numbers of the GJ 5 AK series would be accepted from August 6. If more than one two-wheeler owner applies for a particular number, it will be awarded to the highest bidder.

Science meet
The national science seminar for Surat district will be held at Astaan Kanya Vidyalaya in Bardoli on August 4, an official release said. The district education and training centre had directed all participating schools to be present for the seminar, which begins at noon.

Vadodara: General secretary of Bharatiya Janata Party Scheduled Caste/Tribe Cell Jivraj Chauhan and a few teachers of the Baroda High School, ONGC, submitted a memorandum to District Education Officer V Nanavati on Thursday seeking action against principal N Teradesai.
