Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry SGCCI has warned its members and the general public to beware of unscrupulous elements who are reportedly collecting money in the name of organisations like Gujarat Chamber of Commerce, Trade Development Authority and Directorate General of Foreign Trade. SGCCI president Amarnath Dora said some people were found moving in the city with bogus letter pads of the above mentioned organisations, and promising people export/import codes after giving receipts. He asked people to hand over such crooks to the police. He clarified that the Chamber of Commerce had not initiated any such project. A similar modus operandi was used by some elements at Ahmedabad in the past, he said.
