Raids on cement godowns
Civil supply department officials on Sunday conducted raids at the godowns of Larsen and Toubro Cement and Ambuja Cements on the outskirts of the city and seized 800 bags of unaccounted cement. The raids had been conducted following sudden rise in prices of cement from Rs 90 to Rs 135 during the last three days, District Supply Officer Ashok Singh said.
Talk today
A talk on Art and Culture of Rathwas of Chhotaudepur8217; has been organised jointly by the Museums8217; Association of Gujarat and the department of Museology on Monday. Liquor seized
The city police on Friday seized 74 litres of country liquor worth Rs 1,525 during raids conducted at different places and registered cases against nine under the Prohibition Act.

An essay competition was organised by the Bal Vikas Kendra on Sunday. Participants from various schools expressed their opinion on different topics. Speaking on the occasion, principal of a city-based school Narhari Patel underlined the need to organise such competitions regularly.
