MUMBAI, December 10: Union Bank are well place against Oriental Insurance on the second day of the three day Times Shield Division B cricket tournament at the Cross Maidan here today.
Union Bank, after taking a first innings lead of 358 over their rivals, did well to capture five second innings wickets of Oriental Insurance for 22 runs. The bowler to do the damage was medium pacer Pradeep Sundaram 4-14.

BPCL Refinery scored a hard-fought 1-0 triumph over Voltas in Pool A of the BHA Fourth Division League at the Mahindra Stadium. The goal was scored by Santosh John in the 22nd minute.

A fine hat-trick by Ashita Misquita was the highlight of St Joseph8217;s Bandra 4-0 win over M B English in the girls under-14 Schools hockey league, sponsored by Thums-Up, at the St Stanislaus ground, Bandra. Nyanza Nazareth was the other goal-getter.

Jyotilal N was held to a draw by Atal Ahirwar in the last round, but he bagged the title in the Thane District Selection chess tournament with 8.5 points in the ninth round. Atal Ahirwar, with 7.5 points was second. A special award was given to Nadeem Abdulla ,a five year old boy of Father Agnel School, Vashi.
