VADODARA, Aug 25: Vice-chancellor of MS University Anil Kane on Wednesday said a group of students and their wardens will be part of the committee to look into common problems faced by inmates of the hostel. The committee will materialise in the next 15 days and will represent students of from all hostels, Kane assured during a meeting with the students.

The students are apparently happy with the outcome. quot;We will get to know what happened to the development charges that were collected from us,8221; one hosteller said. 8220;Earlier, even minor problems like absence of dustbins near rooms, which can be addressed to by students themselves, called for interference of the authorities for a solution,8221; a student of the LBS hostel said. Further, complains of problems in the mess or arrangements for rooms had to be looked into by the warden or hostel authorities. But with the new committee the students will have a say.

The delegate of students also submitted a memorandum to Kane in protest against the decision of the committee which expelled two students from the hostel. The students said the decision did injustice towards the students. The delegation also decided to launch an agitation against the decision of the disciplinary committee.
