Students8217; strike continues

PATIALA, Dec 7: The strike being resorted to by the students of local colleges against the recent fee hike effected by the Punjabi University entered its 10th day here today.Meanwhile the authorities of Multani Mal Modi Degree College postponed the house tests because of the stir.

The Joint Students Action Committee organised rallies today at Khalsa College, Government Bikram College for Commerce, Government College of Physical Education. The rallies were addressed by Reminder Poppy , Madan Bhardwaj, Gona Bains, Jasdeep Jassi, Hardeep Gyani and Surinder Ghumana.

The student leaders reiterated that the student agitation would continue till the demands of the students were accepted. They said that the students would observe a token strike on December 9 and threatened that if the fee hike was not withdrawn soon, the strike would spread to other colleges as well.
