Locals say the marriage was planned to increase her clout in the chawl and nearby area

8220;Partners in crime8221; 8212; Bonnie and Clyde were names synonymous with this phrase. Adding a new flavour to the legendary romance of this notorious couple, Mushtak Alam Parmar 35, a convict with a lifer and Mehjabeen 22, a small-time model, tied the knot on October 31 in Ahmedabad.

Coming from an economically weak background, Mehjabeen took to small-time modelling after working in a beauty parlour for sometime. With a retired father who was serving in the Railways and a mother who is now working as a social worker, Mehjabeen also acted in some low-grade films in order to become famous.

Apparently, Mehjabeen met Mushtak when he was a guest at her home with a few other BJP candidates. He met her again a couple of times and proposed marriage and the couple tied the knot a year later.

Mehjabeen affirms to have met him secretly before marriage and also whenever he was on medical examination at the Civil Hospital or when she was allowed to meet him in jail.

She said her three-day marriage event was wonderful. 8220;We were together all the time, but couldn8217;t go out much as we were surrounded by the police.8221;

The marriage took place at the Shah Abbas Masjid in Jamalpur with great pomp and show and a large number of family and friends visited them. The marriage was conducted amidst heavy police security, though.

According to residents of Chote Lal ki chali, where Mehjabeen has a large number of houses, the marriage was planned to increase her clout in the chawl and the nearby area. A few residents said the family is a nuisance as Mehjabeen8217;s brother has often been found to indulge in violent incidents in a state of drunkenness. Besides, several strange people visited her at late hours and when the people objected to this, her brother troubled them, they said.

Incidentally, only last month, Mehjabeen was reportedly charged with injuring a man in her chawl. Overlooking the charges and allegations of her neighbours, Mehjabeen is now looking forward to her newly married life with Mushtak. She has dreams of having a perfect family and a cosy home with her husband.

8220;I am not afraid of anything. Whether he stays in jail for the next four years or 10, I will wait for him. I like him and that is why I got married. I knew everything about him and he also never hid anything from me. He supports me mentally and financially. I have no issues that he is in jail. I am confident about the success of our marriage,8221; she told Newsline.

Incidentally, Mushtak, a convict with a lifer, is lodged in the Vadodara Central Jail, where he is serving his term since 1992.
