State okays scales for PCMC staff

PUNE, JUNE 14: The proposal of the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation PCMC seeking the implementation of the Fifth Pay Commission recommendations for the 6,500-odd employees has been finally approved by the State Government, Shiv Sena MLA Gajanan Babar informed newspersons on Monday.

Babar said that Chief Minister Narayan Rane has cleared the proposal. It may be recalled that last week the civic employees held a gate meeting to demand implementation of the Fifth Pay Commission. After the approval by the State Government, it is likely that the employees would get new pay scales beginning next month.
