PUNE, Nov 30: A state level Invitational limited overs cricket tournament has been organised at Parli from December 1 to 9, on the occassion of Maharashtra Home Minister Gopinath Munde’s 49th birthday. Mohammed Azharuddin, skipper of the Indian cricket team, will inaugurate the tournament.

The tournament which is to be played at the Thermal Power Station ground on a knockout basis has attracted twenty teams from all over the state, including three from Pune. At stake are trophies and whopping prize money.While the winners stand to be richer by Rs 48,000 and the trophy, the runners-up will pocket Rs 25,000 and the trophy. The outstanding player in the finals will be awarded a cash prize of Rs 5000 and a trophy.

The match proceedings will be telecast live from in the entire Beed district via cable television.
