CHANDIGARH, April 15: Shivalik Public School-41 scored a 25-9, 25-14, 25-12 win over DAV School-8 in their opening league encounter in the Inter-School volleyball competition at the Sri Guru Gobind Singh Senior Secondary School-35. The meet is being organised to celebrate the tercentenary birth of Khalsa.SPS-41 lads were far better than the opponents in all the department of the game. They dominated all the three sets and wrapped up the contest in over 20 minutes to get a berth in the next round.Sunil was the main architect of the team's victory in the match today. Vikas and Satish also scored for the team.Manoj and Rakesh played well for DAV-8.In another league match, 3 BRD Air Force lost to Sri Harkishan Public School-38, 19-25, 20-25, 19-25.DAV-8 lads, however, scored victory over Sri Guru Gobind Singh Senior School-35, in their second league match.DAV won the first set 25-21 but lost their rhythm in the second and went down by one point (24-25). However, they won the next two sets to win the contest.
